Something I did in art school

Well. Somehow I find it a bit hard to motivate myself to post pictures of what I do at the art academy in Amsterdam. It doesn't look good here you know.. or professional.. But I do know that there's some dear ones that are curious about what I do there. So this is for you :)

I built a rock.

Pretty proud of it. It works like a vehicle, exactly the same principle as the flintstones-car, but in my stone you need to stand and walk. It is very light and moves smoothly on terrain.

Let me show you how it looks inside:

So there's a metal structure (I think I used around 30-40 meter of metal) and a part from my old bike! The bike part makes it possible to turn.

At the back I put two of these wheels on a thicker metal tube.

I cut small windows. Still it's dangerous to drive in traffic!

I made a video of my stone moving around in a national park a bit outside amsterdam. Here's a still from the video:

I got much help from the guy in the metal workshop, and from my boyfriend who drove the rock as I directed and filmed. Thank you!

I'm also happy that my teacher allowed me to keep it in his studio during the summer, so I didn't need to thrash it. Thank you! I still don't know what to do with it after I return to Amsterdam.
